In July of 2010, Paul came to Waddell & Reed, Inc. with over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Using this background in his role as a Financial Advisor, Paul provides a comprehensive approach to addressing client needs and goals. When working with new clients, his first and foremost priority is to build a strong relationship and gain a better understanding of the client’s investment objectives and risk tolerance. Equipped with this knowledge, Paul then can focus on working together to develop a customized financial plan.
With Waddell & Reed’s extensive resources, Paul assists his clients in working to pursue their investment goals, both long-term and short. He also strives to educate his clients so that not only can they be confident in the service they receive, but also that they are armed with the information needed to make educated decisions.
Paul’s skills set, combined with his previous experience and personal focus, allow him to offer a planning-based approach that can provide the following to the client:
- Plan for current financial needs while working toward future financial goals
- Manage current investment tax liabilities and address estate tax issues
- Learn to manage discretionary expenses
- Develop a plan designed to help pursue long-term financial goals
As a native Memphian, Paul graduated from Rhodes College in 1982 with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Business Administration. After graduating, he worked in the Accounting profession and obtained his CPA, before turning to financial services.*
Paul lives with his wife of 20 years, Songai. Staying involved with his local community, he is an active member within his church. When he has time, Paul enjoys playing golf, reading, and spending time with his family.
