Eric Berner, CDFA, pursues his passion for helping individuals and families design written roadmaps for their financial goals. He does this while working as a financial advisor with Waddell & Reed.
He resides in Hendersonville, TN and has two children, Ryan and Alison who both reside in Knoxville. You might recognize Eric, or his voice, from his other passions which are acting and announcing. He has appeared in several commercials, training videos and independent films. He also is the stadium announcer for the Nashville Sounds Triple A baseball team.
Eric has worked in operations management in both the transportation and distribution industries. He spent 10 years as a terminal manager with Averitt Express where he had operational, human resource and sales supervisory duties over 45 employees. He also worked as an operations manager for Gap Inc, at their Gallatin, TN distribution campus, where he managed over 300 employees. In both of those roles, Eric spent hundreds of hours with employees who were facing wage garnishments, levies, income tax arrearages, and foreclosures as well as helping them through times of personal tragedy and deaths of family members. He realizes the impact and stresses those individuals and families suffer when they are not as financially fit as they might be.
When Eric was 24, his father passed away very suddenly. His mother was widowed and never had been responsible for keeping up with the family finances. Eric’s desire for helping people comes from his experience in seeing how his family was affected by the loss of his father and the financial impact it had on his mother’s life.
